Abstract

The banking industry in Indonesia is facing complex business dynamics, especially with the acceleration of digital transformation. This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance and compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Branch Office Makassar Sudirman. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a sample of 97 respondents. Data analysis was performed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. Compensation also has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to significantly mediate the relationship between work-life balance and compensation on employee performance. These findings suggest that to improve performance, companies must not only focus on financial aspects but also on the psychological well-being and satisfaction of employees in the workplace.
