Abstract

I'jaz Ghaibi is one form of the miraculous nature of the Qur'an related to information about unseen matters, whether events that occurred in the past, events that are currently happening but hidden, or events that will occur in the future. This phenomenon is one of the proofs that the Qur'an is a divine revelation that could not possibly have been composed by humans. This study aims to explain the concept of i'jaz ghaibi, identify its forms in the Qur'an, and explain its relevance in strengthening the faith of Muslims. The research method used in this study is library research with a descriptive-analytical approach, namely by examining various literature related to the concept of the miraculous nature (i'jaz) of the Qur'an, especially i'jaz ghaibi. The data were obtained from books of Qur'anic exegesis (tafsir), books on Ulumul Qur'an, and relevant academic journals. These sources were then analyzed to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the concept. The results of the study show that the unseen information in the Qur'an consists of three main forms: information about the past (ghaib madhi), information about events that are currently occurring but hidden (ghaib hadhir), and information about the future (ghaib mustaqbal). Such information has been proven true in various historical events, thus becoming strong evidence that the Qur'an originates from Allah SWT. Therefore, the study of i'jaz ghaibi plays an important role in strengthening the belief of Muslims in the truth of the Qur'an as divine revelation.
