PENDIDIKAN NILAI DAN ETIKA DALAM KAJIAN DASAR IPS SD

The primary focus of this research is to explore how ethical elements and value education are integrated into the Social Studies (IPS) curriculum at the elementary school level. The urgency of this study is rooted in the phenomenon of moral shifts in the modern era, which demand that Social Studies function not merely as a vehicle for academic information transfer but also as an instrument for developing civic character. various literatures, scientific articles, and references relevant to the fundamental studies of Social Studies.The research findings reveal that the internalization of ethics in elementary Social Studies can be realized by embedding fundamental values such as integrity, respect, and social responsibility into learning themes regarding diversity and social dynamics. However, the study also identifies obstacles in the form of pedagogical approaches that still tend to be cognitive-centric. In conclusion, the effectiveness of value instillation in Social Studies learning is highly determined by the teacher's ability to contextualize the material and their capacity to manifest these ethical values in daily school behavior.
