IMPLEMENTASI METODE EKSPERIMEN PADA MATERI PERKEMBANGBIAKAN TUMBUHAN MATA PELAJARAN IPAS KELAS IV DI SDN LOBUK I

This study aims to describe the implementation of experimental methods in teaching plant reproduction material in grade IV at SDN Lobuk I. The research method used is qualitative research through direct observation and interviews with science teachers in grade IV at SDN Lobuk I, then the data is analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the experimental method is very effective in placing students as active participants through practical activities such as grafting, planting cuttings, and observing seed germination. This method develops various competencies holistically, including cognitive aspects (in-depth conceptual understanding, critical and analytical thinking), affective aspects (scientific attitude, motivation, and self-confidence), psychomotor aspects (tool manipulation and observation skills), and social aspects (group work and effective communication). Direct experience makes learning more meaningful so that the knowledge built is stronger and lasts longer in students' memories, while also fostering concern for living things and the environment.
