Abstract

The moral crisis occurring in modern society demands a more comprehensive and systematic strengthening of moral education. QS. Al-Ahzab verses 70–71, which emphasize the concept of qaulan sadīdan (truthful and upright speech), serve as an essential foundation for developing students’ honesty and integrity. This study aims to examine the relevance of these Qur’anic values in shaping moral and character education within educational institutions. The method used is a literature-based study that analyzes the exegesis of the verses, theories of moral education, and practical implementations of honesty and integrity in schools. The findings show that qaulan sadīdan can be integrated through teacher role modeling, habituation of honest behavior, and the development of a communication culture that is polite and responsible. The integration of these values has significant implications for building a harmonious learning environment that supports students’ character development. Therefore, QS. Al-Ahzab verses 70–71 deserve to be used as a conceptual foundation in designing moral education capable of responding to the challenges of the modern moral crisis.
