Augmented Reality Berbasis Kearifan Lokal: Transformasi Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Budaya Nusantara

This study investigates how art and culture learning in secondary schools can be enhanced by using Augmented Reality (AR) technology and local wisdom values. The background of this study comes from the fact that students do not have significant interest in local cultural content, which they consider boring and irrelevant. This study involved SMAN 1 Banyuwangi as the subject and used a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were teachers and grade XI students who studied art, culture and history with AR. Data were collected through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of student work and AR media displays. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. Three main things were found from this study: (1) learning becomes more contextual and meaningful; (2) augmented reality technology helps students become more familiar with their local culture; and (3) there is a significant increase in student engagement and response to learning. AR helps students connect with their cultural heritage. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers as mediators is very important, that they must work together with people in the local culture, and create flexible and reflective learning designs. Further studies are needed to investigate the effects of AR use on the formation of character and identity of students who are raised in the long term.
