PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF STAD PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DENGAN MEDIA VISUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS 5 SDN 060901 POLONIA

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN 060901 Polonia through the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model combined with visual media. This study uses the Kemmis and McTaggart Classroom Action Research (CAR) model approach consisting of two cycles, each covering the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 30 fifth grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. In cycle I, it was found that 60% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). After improvements were made in cycle II through optimizing the application of STAD and the use of more concrete visual media, the percentage of completion increased to 86.7%. The results showed that the STAD model with visual media was able to improve students' conceptual understanding, active participation, and learning motivation. Thus, the application of the STAD cooperative learning model based on visual media has proven effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in elementary schools.
