PELAYANAN PENDIDIKAN ANAK DISGRAFIA DI SLB SARONGGI KABUPATEN SUMENEP

This study aims to describe the learning process for students with dysgraphia at a Special Needs School (SLB) that implements the Merdeka Curriculum in an adaptive manner. The school accepts all applicants without special selection, and learning is tailored to each student’s needs. The teaching methods used include lectures, play-based learning, educational videos, image exploration, educational games, and the use of technology such as gadgets. For students with dysgraphia, the main challenge lies in writing difficulties, such as reversed letters, particularly in subjects like Indonesian and English. Strategies to overcome these difficulties include the use of drilling (repetitive exercises) and structured daily tasks. The school also organizes confidence-building activities, such as annual performances in the auditorium. Communication with parents is conducted daily via WhatsApp and through face-to-face meetings held three times a year. Challenges encountered include limited internet access and the long distance between students’ homes and the school. Overall, the school’s approach has received positive responses from both students and parents, especially in terms of improved confidence and writing ability among students with dysgraphia.
