Abstract

Environmental education is an urgent need to enhance collective awareness amidst the increasing threat of environmental degradation. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating environmental education into school homework to build students' collective awareness. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving 50 students from various urban and rural schools. The results indicate that homework focused on environmental issues significantly improves students' understanding of sustainability, fosters their active participation in environmental actions, and strengthens their collective responsibility toward environmental preservation. Supporting factors such as teacher guidance and parental involvement further reinforce the program's success.
