Abstract

. Learning media is a crucial element in the educational process, serving as an intermediary for the delivery of information from educators to students. This research aims to examine the concept and criteria for selecting effective learning media and its role in improving student learning outcomes. The method used is descriptive qualitative, by analyzing various relevant literature and studies. The results show that learning media not only clarify the presentation of messages, but also overcome the limitations of time and space, and increase students' interest in learning. The selection of appropriate media must consider the needs and characteristics of students, learning objectives, and teacher skills in using the media. Effective media can facilitate understanding of the material, stimulate interest and motivation to learn, and support various student learning styles. The discussion emphasizes the importance of media evaluation and revision to ensure its effectiveness in the learning process. Thus, the use of appropriate learning media contributes significantly to creating an interactive, engaging teaching and learning process and improving student learning outcomes.
