Abstract

Women’s empowerment is a strategic approach to strengthening family economic resilience, particularly in rural areas where local resources are available but not yet optimally managed. Suka Cinta Village, Sungai Rotan District, Muara Enim Regency, possesses significant potential in pineapple agriculture and active women’s community groups that can be developed through educational and productive empowerment programs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of women’s empowerment initiatives based on local resource processing and digital literacy to enhance family economic capacity and examine their impact on community development. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation during the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) conducted from January to February 2026. The research subjects included members of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK), women of productive age, elementary and junior high school students, and village officials. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing using an interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that the pineapple-processing training program (producing pineapple jam) improved women’s production skills, packaging knowledge, and entrepreneurial awareness. The digital literacy program enhanced participants’ understanding of utilizing social media platforms for promoting home-based businesses. Additionally, educational activities such as early marriage prevention, anti-bullying campaigns, and public speaking training contributed to increased knowledge, positive behavioral changes, and character development among students. Overall, the program demonstrated a positive impact on strengthening women’s economic capacity, improving digital literacy, and fostering social cohesion within the community. This study recommends sustainable mentoring and multi-stakeholder collaboration to ensure the long-term continuity of women’s empowerment programs based on local potential at the village level.
