Abstract

The Night Tutoring Program (Muwajjah) is designed to improve students’ academic achievement and strengthen the relationship between homeroom teachers and students through learning activities outside regular school hours. This study aims to describe the implementation, supporting factors, and evaluation of the Muwajjah program. A descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach was employed, using observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the program helps students better understand learning materials, recite memorized practices, and improve both motivation and academic outcomes. The program’s success is supported by institutional policies, adequate facilities, and a structured schedule. However, challenges include a lack of teacher discipline, limited activity time, scheduling issues, and differences in tutors’ academic abilities. Overall, the Muwajjah program makes a significant contribution to enhancing students’ academic performance and emotional connections at MAS Darunnajah 2 Cipining.
