Abstract

This research examines the impact of bullying on adolescent mental health. Acts of violence in the form of harassment through coercion against individuals or groups with weaker characteristics show a significant increase. Various methods of bullying, including emotional, physical, and the use of social media, demonstrate their impact on adolescents. In particular, teenagers who tend to avoid social interaction often become targets of bullying. This study aims to gain a deep understanding of how various forms of bullying can disrupt the psychological development of adolescents. This article is compiled to provide a comprehensive understanding of the influence of bullying behavior on the mental health of young people. The research uses descriptive methods with data analysis from various relevant journals. Findings from this study indicate that internal and external factors are causes of bullying behavior. The impact of this bullying is significant on adolescent development in both verbal and non-verbal forms. Verbal bullying includes actions such as threats, insults, harassment, and other harmful behaviors. Meanwhile, non-verbal bullying involves actions such as isolating victims, which can potentially destroy their friendships.
