Paradigma Dan Prinsip Inovasi Kurikulum Dalam Pendidikan Islam

The transformation of Islamic education demands curriculum reform that not only upholds Islamic values but is also responsive to the dynamics of the times. This article discusses the paradigms and principles of curriculum innovation in Islamic education in response to the challenges of globalization, technological developments, and the needs of 21st-century students. The traditional, textual and normative paradigm is shifting toward a modern, integrative, contextual, and participatory paradigm. Curriculum innovation demands the application of fundamental principles such as monotheism, integration of knowledge, humanization, contextualization, and the formation of noble character. Furthermore, active learning approaches such as project-based learning, the use of Islamic educational technology, and holistic assessment are crucial in its implementation. Drawing on the thoughts of figures such as Ibn Sina, Syed Naquib al-Attas, and Fazlur Rahman, this study emphasizes the importance of designing a curriculum that can develop students' spiritual and intellectual potential in a balanced manner. Thus, Islamic education can play a strategic role in shaping a generation that is faithful, intelligent, and adaptable to change.
