Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the integration of Qur'anic values within thematic learning implemented at Integrated Islamic Early Childhood Education (PAUD Islam Terpadu) centers in Kota Bangko. Integrating religious values into early childhood education is a crucial foundation for character building and fostering noble morals from a young age, aligning with the objectives of Islamic education. Thematic learning was chosen due to its relevance in presenting material holistically and meaningfully to children.

This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research subjects include teachers, school principals, and relevant curriculum documents from the Integrated Islamic ECCE centers that are the focus of this study in Kota Bangko. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The gathered data was analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.

The research findings indicate that the integration of Qur'anic values into thematic learning is carried out through various strategies. These include the habituation of daily prayers, introduction to stories of the Prophets, use of Qur'anic verse-based media, and instilling noble character traits within each learning theme. However, several challenges were encountered, such as limited teacher resources for developing innovative media or a lack of specific guidebooks. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of teacher professional development in designing and implementing thematic learning rich in Qur'anic values, as well as the necessity of institutional support in providing adequate facilities and learning resources to optimize this integration
