Pelayanan Pendidikan Anak Grahita Di Slb Saronggi Kabupaten Sumenep

This study aims to analyze educational services for children with disabilities at SLB Negeri Saronggi, Sumenep district. Using descriptive qualitative methods, with the research subjects being teachers who are directly involved in the education of students with disabilities. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation. The results showed that SLB Negeri Saronggi applies an admission system and initial assessment to identify the specific needs of students with disabilities. The curriculum is tailored to students' individual abilities, using a combination of lecture and practical methods. Simple visual learning media are used to facilitate understanding. The therapy program implemented includes acupressure therapy and speech therapy. Handling tantrum behavior is done with a personal approach based on the characteristics of each student. Despite facing limited resources and infrastructure, SLB Negeri Saronggi strives to provide appropriate educational services through developing teacher competencies and optimizing existing resources. Cooperation with parents is also an important element in supporting student development. This study recommends increasing the teacher-student ratio, procuring supporting infrastructure, developing evidence-based treatment protocols, and strengthening education for parents to support students' development.
