Abstract

This study addresses the issue of Qur’anic interpretations on gender that often place women in a subordinated position. The main objective is to formulate an inclusive exegetical model applicable in the modern Islamic context to promote gender justice. The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining relevant academic works from the past five years, including books, journals, and scientific studies. Findings reveal that inclusive tafsir provides fairer reinterpretations of gender-related verses by emphasizing equality between men and women. This demonstrates the role of inclusive tafsir as a significant alternative to classical interpretations, while contributing both theoretically and practically to the development of a progressive and just Qur’anic exegesis aligned with contemporary social dynamics.
