PERANAN PLANET, METEOR, DAN BINTANG DALAM MENJAGA KETERATURAN ALAM SEMESTA : PRESPEKTIF KAJIAN AL QUR’AN DAN SAINS

Abstract

The study of planets, meteors, and stars plays an important role in understanding the order of the universe, both from the perspective of modern science and the view of the Qur'an. This research aims to analyze the role of planets, meteors, and stars in maintaining cosmic balance and uncover the harmony between scientific explanations and the verses of kauniyah in the Qur'an. The research method used is qualitative with a literature review approach, analyzing primary sources such as the Qur'an and classical and contemporary tafsir books, and secondary sources including scientific journals, astronomy books, and related scientific articles. The research findings show that planets play a role in maintaining orbital stability and the order of the solar system, meteors have a cosmic function as natural phenomena related to the protection of the sky and the natural process of universe formation, while stars, especially the Sun, function as the primary source of energy for life and markers of time and seasons. From the perspective of the Qur'an, these three celestial bodies are understood as signs of Allah's greatness, indicating the existence of a cosmic system that is orderly, balanced, and subject to His decree. The integration of scientific studies and Qur'anic tafsir emphasizes that the order of the universe is not a matter of coincidence, but a manifestation of divine wisdom and will. This research is expected to enrich the body of integrative studies between science and Islam and raise human awareness to preserve and respect the universe as a trust from Allah.
