Abstract

This study discusses the application of the concept of reward and punishment in education based on an Islamic perspective, especially through the Qur'an and Hadith. Rewards are used as a means to strengthen positive behavior and motivate students to learn, while punishment functions as a corrective action to correct bad behavior. In Islamic education, these two concepts are not only intended to regulate behavior, but also to shape character and instill moral values. This study uses a qualitative approach through documentation analysis of relevant verses of the Qur'an and Hadith. The results of the discussion show that rewards and punishments in Islam have deep spiritual and moral dimensions, and must be applied wisely, compassionately, and in accordance with student characteristics. With proper application, rewards and punishments can be an effective means of realizing meaningful education, forming noble morals, and creating a conducive learning environment.
