Konsep Kepemimpinan Khalifah dalam Al-Qur'an untuk Masyarakat Multikultural Kontemporer

Leadership in the Islamic perspective, especially the concept of caliph, has an important relevance in facing the challenges of contemporary multicultural society. The concept of khalifah in the Qur'an emphasizes human responsibility as a just and wise leader on earth. This research aims to analyze how the principles of khalifah leadership can be applied in an ethnically, religiously, and culturally diverse society. The research method used is a literature review with a tafsir approach to the Qur'anic verses related to leadership. The results show that the principles of caliph leadership, such as justice, deliberation, and social responsibility, are very relevant in building harmony in a multicultural society. In conclusion, caliph leadership in the Qur'an can be an important guideline in creating social welfare in a plural society.
