Personality disorders in adults are often under-identified due to their complex, overlapping characteristics and varied behavioral manifestations. Psychodiagnostics plays a crucial role in providing a comprehensive understanding of personality dynamics, behavioral patterns, and the psychological factors underlying these disorders. This article examines how psychodiagnostic procedures—including technical, behavioral observation, objective and projective psychological testing, and life history analysis—contribute to the identification of personality disorders in adults. A literature analysis method was used to assess the effectiveness and reliability of various instruments, such as the MMPI-2, PAPI, MBTI, and projective tests, in detecting consistent maladaptive patterns. The study findings indicate that the integrative use of psychodiagnostics can improve diagnostic accuracy, help differentiate between personality disorders and other psychological conditions, and provide an important basis for planning psychotherapeutic interventions. These findings confirm that psychodiagnostics is a crucial component of mental health services, particularly in ensuring a holistic and evidence-based diagnosis of personality disorders in adults.
