Abstract

This study aims to examine how quality management is implemented at SDN 1 Widoropayung Besuki in an effort to improve school accreditation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, other educational staff, and analysis of official school documents. The study findings indicate that the actualization of all top-level management principles such as strategic planning, collaborative program implementation, continuous evaluation, and systematic follow-up activities have led to a significant increase in school quality. This increase is reflected in the increase in accreditation scores, increased activity of school stakeholders towards quality culture and systems, and in the number of citizens who participate proactively in the community. Research with findings like this should emphasize the need for visionary leadership and active participation from all sectors of the school as determining factors in maintaining and improving the quality of education over time.
