Pemberdayaan Remaja dalam Gerakan Hijau: Studi Kasus Kampung Lembang Jaya untuk Mencapai Lingkungan Bersih, Sehat, dan Berkelanjutan

Abstract

Community service is a key form of engagement within the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, serving as a medium to integrate academic knowledge, skills, and experiences with the social realities of society. This Community Service Program (KKN) was carried out by Group 15 in Kampung Lembang Jaya under the theme “Empowering the Youth of Kampung Lembang Jaya in the Green Movement Towards a Clean, Healthy, and Sustainable Environment.” The main goal of this program was to increase community participation, especially among the youth, in social, economic, health, and environmental development, while also strengthening the relationship between higher education institutions and society as part of a tangible contribution to sustainable development. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through field observations, interviews with residents of Kampung Lembang Jaya, activity documentation, and questionnaires distributed to KKN participants and local residents to assess the social and economic impacts of the activities. This approach was chosen to gain a deeper understanding of the social dynamics during the program and to assess how the KKN activities contributed to positive change in the community.The results show that various activities, such as the installation of goalposts, social visits to residents' homes, marketing strategy training (4P) for SMEs, Posyandu activities, and the 80th Independence Day commemoration, successfully enhanced community solidarity, the spirit of mutual cooperation, and awareness of the importance of health, education, and a clean and sustainable environment. In addition to directly benefiting the community, these activities also strengthened the capacity of students in applying their knowledge, improving their communication, leadership, and cross-sector collaboration skills. Overall, the KKN program in Kampung Lembang Jaya had a significant positive impact on community empowerment and serves as a model for community service implementation oriented towards sustainable development.
