PERAN UMKM DALAM PEMANFAATAN HASIL PERTANIAN DAN PETERNAKAN UNTUK PENINGKATAN KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT DESA POKO

The community of Poko Village possesses significant potential in the agricultural and livestock sectors, including corn, peanuts, medicinal herbs, cassava, and dairy products. However, this potential has not been fully optimized due to limited capital, processing skills, and market access. As a result, most agricultural and livestock products are sold in raw form, leading to relatively low economic value. This study aims to examine the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in utilizing agricultural and livestock products to improve community welfare. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The findings reveal that MSMEs in Poko Village have successfully processed local products into various forms such as gethuk (traditional cassava cake), herbal drinks, and fresh milk. These innovations not only increase household income but also create new employment opportunities. Furthermore, the Community Service Program (KKN) contributed positively by providing training in packaging, digital marketing, and product innovation. In conclusion, strengthening MSMEs based on local potential is an effective strategy to foster economic independence and enhance sustainable community welfare.
