Skrining Tekanan Darah dengan Pendekatan door-to-door Sebagai Upaya Mencegah Penyakit Tidak Menular pada Usia Produktif dan Lansia

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is one of the significant public health problems in Indonesia, including in Ambon City. Community empowerment is one of the effective approaches in addressing health problems, including in the prevention of hypertension. By empowering the community to be active in maintaining their own health, it is expected that they can be more aware of their health conditions and take appropriate preventive actions. One of the efforts that can be done is to carry out blood pressure checks directly in the community through a door-to-door approach. This activity aims to increase public awareness and knowledge about the importance of early detection of hypertension, and encourage them to adopt a healthy lifestyle to prevent hypertension. This activity was carried out on 1 June 2024 involving 19 participants and using the door-to-door approach method. The results of the activity showed a positive and influential impact on the community, especially in increasing their awareness about the importance of maintaining health. Through a door-to-door approach to blood pressure screening, the community in Negeri Hutumuri, Ambon City, gained direct access to check their health. This activity successfully encouraged a change in mindset in the community, where they became more concerned about their own health, especially in terms of hypertension prevention.
