Reproductive health is an important aspect of adolescent well-being that includes physical, mental, and social dimensions. Lack of knowledge about reproductive health can lead to risky behaviors that endanger individual health. This study aims to determine the effect of reproductive health education on increasing student knowledge at SMA Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Miftahussalam Medan. The method used was quantitative pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample amounted to 32 students of class XI, consisting of 10 boys and 22 girls. Educational intervention was conducted through visual presentation and leaflet distribution, which was adjusted to the age and culture of the participants. Measurements were taken before and after the education using a standardized questionnaire. The results showed that the average knowledge score increased significantly from 58.4 to 79.1. The paired t-test statistical test yielded a t = 9.63 and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the educational intervention had a significant effect on improving students' knowledge. Education also improved students' understanding of reproductive hygiene practices such as how to change pads appropriately and the importance of keeping underwear clean. This finding is in line with previous studies that showed the effectiveness of discussion-based and visual education methods. In conclusion, reproductive health education is proven effective in improving students' knowledge. Similar interventions need to be implemented sustainably in schools to support the formation of healthy behaviors of adolescents as a whole.
