This community service aims to develop and implement a digital platform for online worship guidance consultation at Pondok Pesantren Modern Cendekia Qur'ani in Tebo Tengah. The background for this initiative is the growing need for flexible and personalized worship guidance for both students (santri) and the surrounding community, in line with advancements in information technology. Modern Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) hold significant potential to integrate technology to broaden the reach of Islamic propagation (dakwah) and religious services. However, they often lack a structured system for online worship consultation. This program was designed to bridge this gap while leveraging the digital competencies of both the students and teachers (asatidz).
The participatory approach of Action Research was employed, involving the santri and asatidz of Pondok Pesantren Modern Cendekia Qur'ani at every stage. The phases included needs identification through Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), the design and development of a platform prototype (featuring live chat, discussion forums, and a repository of worship materials), training on content management and digital communication ethics for platform administrators, and participatory testing and evaluation. The training focused on the technical skills required to manage the platform and the comprehensive substance of worship guidance in accordance with Sharia.
The results of this community service demonstrate success in creating a functional and easily accessible digital platform for worship guidance consultation. Both the santri and asatidz showed improved understanding and skills in managing and utilizing the platform. This initiative not only enhanced the santri's digital literacy in a religious context but also opened a new channel for the efficient dissemination of knowledge and resolution of worship-related issues. This platform has the potential to serve as a model for other modern pesantren in optimizing the role of technology for broader religious services that are adaptable to contemporary needs
