EDUKASI HUKUM DIGITAL UNTUK PENCEGAHAN HOAKS DAN PENIPUAN ONLINE DI KALANGAN REMAJA SMK N 8 TEBO

Abstract

The rampant spread of false information (hoaxes) and online fraud has become a serious threat in the digital age, especially for teenagers who are vulnerable to becoming either victims or perpetrators. A lack of understanding regarding digital legal literacy and the legal consequences of actions in the online world often exacerbates this problem. This community service initiative aimed to increase digital legal awareness and understanding among students of SMK N 8 Tebo to prevent hoaxes and online fraud.The activity was conducted using interactive educational methods, including socialization, case study discussions, and simulations for identifying false information and fraud schemes. The material covered the fundamentals of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE), various forms of hoaxes and online fraud, and strategies for verifying information before sharing it. The results of this service activity show a significant improvement in students' understanding of the legal implications of spreading hoaxes and fraud, as well as their ability to identify digital threats. This program is expected to equip the youth of SMK N 8 Tebo with the knowledge and skills necessary to become smart, safe, and responsible internet users, thereby contributing to a healthier digital space.
