Abstract

The socialization of Biosaka utilization as an elicitor for rice plants was conducted in Pejalin
Village, Tanjung Palas Subdistrict, Bulungan Regency, as a form of community service for local
farmers. Biosaka is a natural solution made from grasses and leaves that functions to stimulate the
plant's natural defense system without providing nutrients. This activity aimed to increase farmers’
understanding of the benefits, preparation methods, and application of Biosaka in supporting
environmentally friendly agriculture. The method used was participatory-educational through
material presentation and discussion. The results showed that farmers were quite enthusiastic
about the Biosaka technology, although participation during the discussion session was limited.
Biosaka is considered to have strong potential for adoption, as it can reduce dependence on
chemical fertilizers, lower production costs, and enhance rice plant resilience. In the future,
continued assistance and hands-on field practice are necessary to encourage farmers to adopt
Biosaka independently.
