PENINGKATAN LITERASI KESELAMATAN KETENAGALISTRIKAN BAGI SISWA SMP MELALUI EDUKASI PENGGUNAAN LISTRIK YANG AMAN DAN BERKELANJUTAN

This study aims to improve electrical safety literacy among students of SMP Negeri 29 Samarinda through material-based outreach activities. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation and interview techniques to explore students' understanding, risk perceptions, and responses to electrical safety materials. The results showed that the outreach activities were able to improve students' ability to recognize potential electrical hazards, such as the risks of overhead cables, standing water, household installations, and PLN substation areas. In addition, students showed changes in attitude marked by increased vigilance and preventive behavior in daily electricity use. The interactive and contextual delivery method proved effective in supporting student understanding. Thus, this outreach activity plays an important role in building a culture of electrical safety in the school environment.
