Srategi Penguatan Budaya Mutu Melalui Manajemen Mutu Berbasis Sekolah

This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening quality culture through the implementation of School-Based Quality Management (SBQM) in an effort to sustainably improve educational quality. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, education personnel, and the school committee, as well as through observation and document analysis. The findings indicate that the strategy for strengthening quality culture is carried out in a planned, structured, and participatory manner, beginning with the formulation of the school's vision, mission, and quality objectives through work meetings involving all school stakeholders. The values of quality culture are regularly socialized through morning assemblies, weekly meetings, and school information media. The implementation of quality culture is reflected in the daily activities of the school community through a culture of discipline, cleanliness, responsibility, and collaboration. Teachers actively participate in planning quality-based learning, conducting active learning, and performing regular self-evaluations. The principal plays a key role as a quality leader by providing role models and encouraging continuous innovation. Quality monitoring and evaluation are conducted periodically by the school’s internal quality assurance team using the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) principle while involving parents and the school committee to support quality programs. This strategy has been proven to improve educational quality indicators, as evidenced by increased teacher attendance, student learning mastery, and parental satisfaction with school services. This research provides practical contributions for schools in implementing strategies to sustainably strengthen quality culture.
