PERAN PEREMPUAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEREKONOMIAN KELUARGA MELALUI INOVASI USAHA KRIPIK SINGKONG

Abstract

Women’s empowerment plays an important role in increasing family income, especially in rural areas with local resources such as cassava. The Community Service Program (KKN) in Pelempang Village, Kelekar District, aimed to train housewives and young women to process cassava into cassava chips with higher economic value. The program included educational sessions, production training, packaging assistance, and basic marketing guidance. The results showed that participants gained better understanding of hygienic processing methods, product flavor variations, and the importance of attractive packaging. In addition to improving skills, the activity also encouraged entrepreneurial motivation and created opportunities for additional family income. This program is expected to support the sustainable development of home-based businesses in Pelempang Village.
