EDUKASI PEMBUATAN DAN REGISTRASI PRODUK HERBAL PANGAN LOKAL SISWA SMA KUPANG

This Community Service Program aims to enhance the entrepreneurial understanding and skills of students at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang through the production and registration of instant herbal products, food, and beverages based on local wisdom. The low level of entrepreneurship among senior high school graduates in Indonesia, including at SMA Negeri 5 Kupang, remains a significant issue despite the abundant potential of herbal plants and local food resources rooted in local wisdom that have not been optimally utilized. This problem is further exacerbated by students’ limited understanding of hygienic production processes, product standardization, and official registration and business legality procedures. The program was implemented using an educational and participatory approach, including socialization of local herbal plant potential, interactive training, hands-on practice, and continuous mentoring. Training materials covered hygienic processing techniques for local raw materials, principles of product standardization and packaging, as well as an introduction to food and herbal product / procedures. The results showed an improvement in students’ abilities in production, management, and marketing aspects, including the use of digital marketing strategies and a better understanding of product legality. In addition, students’ participation, enthusiasm, and self-confidence in developing local wisdom-based business products also increased. Overall, this program was effective in fostering students’ entrepreneurial skills and contributes to sustainable local economic development.
